Title: Free of the Fair. Fandom: Grey’s Anatomy / Private Practice. Genre: Humour / Friendship / Romance. Rating: PG-13. Summary: Addison and Erica discuss what occurred in Erica’s life while she was away in Boston. Author's Notes: I wrote this on scrap paper while volunteering at a nature centre the day after I posted the Hahn/Weber fic. I needed to cleanse my own mind. Thus I tried to hint at any couple that would possibly make me smile. Mentions: Hahn/Webber (in jest), Callica (minimal), Eritina, Addica (hints), Erica/female OC I’ll be honest in that I wasn’t concerned with how the voices of the characters sounded or keeping them in character, I just…needed to write. Write quickly, write gaily and gayly, write to get thoughts out of my head. So here’s what came out. Just a lot of hinting that made my head happy. :D [SLASH HET GEN]

Title: Fair Fun Fandom: Grey’s Anatomy Genre: Nearly AU / Somewhat smut Rating: R Summary: Erica heads to the fair and meets someone she never expected (nor desired) to see. Author's Notes: Written for krizzzie for a gift fic fest through erica_leaves. Her favourite prompt idea was seeing a Hahn/Weber. This was my attempt. I didn’t even bother trying to set it in the Seattle Grace ‘cause I knew I would never pull it off in all the universe’s existence. Ah well, laughter, I tried!
I had to write this the way I did because I had to myself gain a liking for the Weber in my head before I could try to put Erica with him for the evening. I don’t think I pulled it off very well, but I tried. Erica turned out a bit OOC but I kept her major characteristics. Weber I brought OOC in my opinion, given that I liked him by the end of my fic and I don’t recall ever liking him in the show. [HET, SLASH allusion]

Title: Strawberry Sheldon. Fandom: Firefly/The Big Bang Theory. Genre: Crack!fic Crossover. Rating: PG. Summary: Crack!fic crossover. Kaylee is found in Sheldon's kitchen, to his dismay and Leonard's delight. Penny saves the day. Author's Notes: Written for a fic fest at whedonland. I pretty much just like listening to Sheldon talk, and Kaylee being Kaylee...especially in my favourite ship, Kaylee/Strawberries. :) [Het or femmeslash if you use your goggles]

Title: Derogate. Fandom: Real Life. Genre: Fictionalised Non-Fiction. Rating: G. Summary: Kiwi is a high school student feeling a touch ignored by her peers. Author's Notes: I wrote this as a fictional event within a real situation. I wanted to get a story down with how I was feeling with my peers in contrast to how comfortable I felt with my seniors/teachers--exemplified by interactions with Mrs. Cav. I’m sure this wasn’t really how things were, but it’s how they felt, so it was my reality. This was junior year. It cleared up for the most part by senior year. I was happier being a bit of a loner then. [GEN]

Title: Hair. Fandom: Fictionalised Real Life. Genre: I have no frakking clue. Rating: PG. Summary: A story from the point of view of my hair and its ceaseless vanity. A cute story in the end. Author's Notes: I think I wrote this for something to do with therapy. It got me in touch with my old self and my self-consciousness. That people often wanted to look but I didn’t want to be looked at, because so many other eyes were mean I couldn’t accept even the admiring ones. [GEN]

Title: Hip Replacement. Fandom: Fictionalised Real Life. Genre: Imitation? Speculation? I have no idea. Rating: PG-13 for some language and a quick mention of sex. Summary: My experience of hip replacement written in an entirely new voice. Author's Notes: This was written before I had the operation. I can barely tell when I read it. I must really have the medical stuff down, because that’s pretty much exactly how it went. We were studying Catcher in the Rye in English. The teacher gave us a list of vocabulary words. We were given the opportunity to do extra credit (which I didn’t really need) and one of the options was to use the vocabulary list and/or (can’t remember which) write a story in a similar voice to Catcher in the Rye. I combined the two. I never even passed it in. I enjoyed writing it, though. [GEN]

Title: Under the Library Table. Fandom: Real Life | Fiction. Genre: Hurt/Comfort | Healing | Romance. Rating: NC-17, I think that’s the proper rating. There’s sex and near-molestation. Summary: A girl is nearly molested by peers under a table in the library during school. She comes to terms with it years later when she meets up with the girl (now a grown woman) and has her own healing romance. Author's Notes: Sophomore or junior year I randomly remembered an event in elementary school. I was almost molested under a table during library class. I had forgotten that my 6th grade bullying was not the first--I had also been bullied in 3rd grade, although I had many other friends so it wasn’t as bad. I got the idea to make a long fictional end to it to make me feel less scarred. It worked. I feel free of it.
I know it is joked about at the end. It is not because I consider it to be a subject inherently humorous--not at all. It was only that by the end I was feeling infinitely more healed, as was the “me” character in the story, and I turn important things into humour. Dark humour is what gets me through the tough parts of life. If I can’t make a joke out of it, it’s because it’s still eating me alive.
The verb tense may be off in places. I started in present and at random moved to past, but I liked the present voice, so I tried to switch back as I read through it. I’m sure I missed portions.
This was written before I got into Grey’s and Callica and Calzone and Addica and smut!writing. I’m pretty impressed. Not too bad! Although it made me giggle to be reading steamy stuff about myself. I was relieved that I had to focus mainly on correcting grammar.
Warning: If you’re not a smut person, of you’re not a think-of-my-friends-in-sexual-events sort of person, don’t read this. And family won’t ever want to read this, I swear. So here’s your chance. Don’t click the link if you’re not sure you want to! [SLASH]

Title: Emo Bar. Fandom: Real People, Fictional Setting. Genre: Fiction. Rating: PG. Summary: Kiwi arrives home to find her friends Dana and Lindsay studying hard. She takes them out to a bar that plays emo music. They all get dates. Yay. Author's Notes: Oh my gods, I should never read through my old writing. I think I was 14 or 15 with this one. I was giggling by the end though. It certainly did describe my fantasies of the time--and they haven’t changed that much! However, it was VERY strange describing myself as a redhead. I forgot I had red hair for a while. And was very into describing people in great detail. I am shamed by this writing. Ah, being friends with Dana and Lindsay. Did always call for very strange stories. Also, the moral of the story is, study hard for your exams and you can go out to have fun. That’s still true! And I’ve had exams now!
This came from the time I basically wanted to be Rosethorn. That makes me laugh. [SLASH HET]

Title: Physics. Fandom: Real Life. Genre: Non-Romance Love | Memory. Rating: G. Summary: Montage of some events of junior year involving my high school self and my old teacher pal. Author's Notes: This is the other half of the gift to my old teacher; it is the sequel to “Chemistry.” I had the teacher for both, one year and then the next (sophomore and junior years). I am impressed that I managed to capture the different voices I had through the two years. I actually do really like this one. I feel it expresses our relationship much better, less sketchily. We supported each other into doing things we thought we couldn’t do, we were around to support each other in general. This is what Chemistry led to. [GEN]

Title: Chemistry. Fandom: Real Life. Genre: Humour | Hurt/Comfort | Non-romance Love. Rating: G. Summary: Montage of some memories of sophomore year. Author's Notes: I wrote this as half of a gift for my old teacher, for when she was my sponsor for my induction into the National Honor Society. Reading through it, I can’t believe it. I don’t remember putting this much emphasis on any of it. I wonder if it’s just detachment. When I read through it now, it feels less like a gift and more like a burden. Like a stalker’s tale. But it isn’t. It just made me wonder, as I read this heavy piece and winced, if that’s in part how she read it. Now I can understand that. Before I never could. It was a hard time; she was an easy friend.
I think in a way she used to think that I didn’t understand that most her kindness came out of the maternal or paternal instincts that are just present in many (most) teachers, especially with some special students. I did. I watched her and understood how compassionate she was, how it was in her nature to be kind and take others under her wing. But now I can see that, at some point, there was a line that was crossed. Not a terrible red line that ends the world. The line that made teachers and students “pals,” a line that was frequently crossed at the Aggie, that was part of the atmosphere. A line I crossed often with teachers because they were drawn to me like that, for whatever reasons. But it had never happened to her before. There had never before been a Kiwi to draw her over the line. She wasn’t comfortable being over the line, especially when she looked down and realised she was. I was scary territory. To her, crossing even that line was wrong. I understand a lot more now. [GEN]

Title: The Wall. Fandom: Real Life. Genre: Guided Imagery | Surgery Preparation. Rating: G. Summary: Guided imagery of someone approaching surgery. Author's Notes: I wrote this when people kept asking me how I felt about my approaching hip replacement, or worse, telling me all the things I felt. It’s not a positive portrayal. It’s not inherently negative, either. It’s questioning. [GEN]

Title:Winter. Fandom: Real Life. Genre: Guided Imagery | Seasons | Winter. Rating: G. Summary: A guided imagery of winter, comfort and warmth inside with delight and fun outside. Author's Notes: I wrote this for a senior youth lock-in, I believe. I love it. It sums up all my feelings of winter. I love winter, oh so much. I love that it is chilly but fun outside, somehow serene and frozen in time. I love that warmth is turn inside, to hearth and home, with loved ones and gatherings. I love winter. [GEN]

Title: Passiveaggresiva Queen. Fandom: Grey’s Anatomy; Addica. Genre: Hurt/Comfort | Humour | Remembrance. Rating: R. Summary: Addison has crossed a line with Erica, and Erica is understandably cross. Addison admits her secret character flaw. They go on to have a day of entertaining surgery blunders, Seattle Grace talk and mentions of the future. Author's Notes: I guess I just wanted to write a story that allowed both Addison and Erica to experience a relationship with clear communication and compassion. It seems a lot of the times they didn’t get that. I thought they would thrive under those conditions. Also, the end of the story doesn’t sound much like an end. But it is, from this writer here. I don’t write about the thing mentioned last. Shivers. It’s just so not up my alley. [SLASH]

Title: Grey’s Anatomy. Fandom: Grey’s; Addica. Genre: Humour | Hurt/Comfort | Romance | Remembrance. Rating: R, just to be safe. Summary: Addison remembers one of the most dramatic day in the history of Seattle Grace. She relays it to Erica, both glad of the chance to work through it and chip off the pain piece by piece. Author's Notes: Yes, I did write a fic solely to use “Grey’s Anatomy” as a pun. And who’s to judge me, huh, huh? Laughter. I also had Erica tease Bailey for not using pain meds, just ‘cause I thought it would be ironic given that Brooke didn’t use pain meds for her labour either. My sense of humour is tickled in strange ways! As I was reading I also felt I was getting too sappy. But I should have more faith in myself, for I totally handled it! I know my gag level of sappy. Evil laughter. BEWARE: this may change the way you view the show’s title. [SLASH]

Title: Dryads Crying. Genre: Fiction. Rating: G. Summary: A small story in the point of view of one of the ‘strange’ students no one really understands except the few who do, and then it’s beautiful. Author's Notes: I have no idea when or why I wrote this. It isn’t excellent writing. It doesn’t SOUND like excellent writing because there’s an unreliable narrator who has a certain voice that isn’t particularly educated. But despite all that, I love this little drabble of a story. It really describes how I feel sometimes. Good gods so many of my stories have teacher figures! [GEN]

Title: Montage Fandom: Calzone – Callie/Arizona Genre: Hurt/comfort | Humour | Romance Rating: R, because I err on the side of caution (but no real steam here). Summary: Callie has had a frustrating day with the coming out and the families. She goes to the gym to beat up a bag and save her friends from her fist. Mark doesn’t let her off the hook so easily and sets her girlfriend on her for a day of fun and drinks. Author's Notes: Please don’t be offended at the angry lesbian joke. I joke about things—stereotypes, bad writing, current events. It’s what I do. Take it all with a bucket of salt, grins, for I mean no harm. Jester only! Also apologies for not writing the Spanish bits in Spanish. I’ve taken two terms of it in my life, and unfortunately enough that is not enough time to write about Arizona’s sexiness! So you’ll have to use your imagination and recollect Sara’s fabulous Spanish as you read [or translate it for me, if you feel like it and am a loser like me who has time for this stuff during procrastination]. Further apologies for not writing much smut. It’s not my favourite thing to write OR read (gasp), so given I’m both the writer and my number one reader, I let myself off the hook. Grins. Uh, request it if you want it, I guess, I write for requests!
Made Arizona a UU (Unitarian Universalist) because I looked up the congregations in Seattle and this one looked AMAZING and I just had to use it. Plus Arizona as a character seems like the kind of character who could definitely be UU. (Look it up on Wiki if you want—really interesting religion, I love it!) [SLASH]

She is thankful she joined in. Author's Notes: I love writing Erica in a different hospital! Makes me happy. I saw the Fir Tree Story on the BBC news and then in a news article and it made me wonder what Erica would do if she witnessed a fir in a lung. Of course it ends with Addica, because I just couldn’t help it. This is what I write instead of doing my reports. Also? I have far too much fun making fun of things. And connecting Callie to Monty Python just because Sara was in Spamalot. [SLASH]
